About Us

Growing up in an Argentine Family, whenever something INCREDIBLE or FABULOUS would happen, my father would yell ¡Macanudo! 

Mate, short for Yerba Mate, is the tea of choice in South America which also has incredible health benefits. In honor of my father, we named the cafe Macanudo Mate which means Fabulous Tea.

Chef Mike

Chef Mike was raised in an Italian/German family filled with love & good food. As a young adult he enjoyed cooking with his mother and grandmother and always was eager to learn more.

Marrying into an Argentine family he was mesmerized with the culture and food of the locals and soon enough was preparing specialized dishes he learned from his mother-in-law and her family.
